An Introduction to Psychedelic Therapy – Training Program

Class Description

Our introductory training program is designed for healthcare practitioners, healing arts professionals, clergy, and community stewards.  Students and others may also be considered for the program.

***This program does not teach any particular healing modality (like therapy or medicine); it is designed to help already existing professionals incorporate entheogens into their already existing healing/spiritual professional practices.***

This is an educational program. It does not offer a degree, certification or experiential learning.

10 week program includes:
  • Classes (1 per week)
  • Integration Learning groups (1 per week directly after class)
  • Individual professional consultation (1 by appointment)
Weekly Classes:

Week 1) Introductions; Overview of the Program; Into to Psychedelic Therapy

Week 2) Assessment

Week 3) Preparation

Week 4) Tryptamines: Focus on Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy

Week 5) MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Week 6) Psychedelics and Epigenetics

Week 7) Psychedelics and Spirituality

Week 8) Integration

Week 9) Microdosing, Legal status, Activism

Week 10) Harm Reduction and Ethics.

Facilitators

Julie Barron, MA

Julie is a pioneer of the Michigan psychedelic community and an activist for decriminalization throughout the whole US. For over 25 years Julie Barron has done extensive research and training in the health benefits and use of cannabis and entheogenic plants/fungi.

Having trained in therapy with non-ordinary states of consciousness in her Master’s program at Naropa University, Julie Barron now incorporates this training into her work at Blue Sage helping clients find healing and relief as they incorporate these alternative practices into wellness.

With the interest of psychedelics increasing, a large part of her work has become consulting and training other healthcare practitioners to incorporate psychedelic therapies into their practices.

Along with this work, Julie is also the Co-Founder of Decriminalize Nature Michigan and Founder/President of Michigan Psychedelic Society.

Moudou_Baqui

Moudou Baqui (Justin Petty MA Ed.)

Moudou Baqui aka Justin Petty MA Ed. is a master educator specializing in metacognition (awareness of ones consciousness and thoughts understanding how to educate self).

Moudou Served as the spokesperson and a principle organizer of the 2021 Decriminalization of Entheogens in Detroit. Under the tutelage of “Ahati”(Grandmaster) Kilyndi Iyi he studied African combative martial arts and sacred plants use and culture for over 20 years, in this pursuit he was exposed to the knowledge and application, cultivation and cultural history of entheogens. He has further continued his studies of ancient human history, metacognition and entheogens via travel on several continents.
